These are all tight,my favorite is the drip mop mini and the 2 oz mop, would love to buy some single 2 oz mops without having to buy all this, guess yall are low in stock, yall gona re-up anytime soon?
Im super new to all of this so take this review with a grain of salt. But I got one to test with drips and also just contribute to the new ink testing.
I gotta say. Drips like a charm. Good nib size to have a prefilled test run of this ink as well. I probably went way too ham on squeezing but I only got about 15 quick writes out of this guy before it lost the power of the flow and lost a significant amount of ink. Another thing that couldve definitely affected the flow is how often I use it. Ive only had it 4 days, but I bust it out like.... maybe once a day. It definitely sits awhile. Probably why I encountered differences in flow.
On the ink itself. Got the orange. Bright as all hells fire! Pops out on most anything Ive put it on. Depending on the surface it dries with different tones. Kind of interesting. Definitely getting the whole pack. I really want to see what the writes look like in the whole range of color schemes available. When I start getting more wild and comfortable Ill definitely try experimenting more. But for now. Im a basic beezy. New to this. Wouldnt even know where to start with additives or mixing. From what Ive read Id probably figure mixing Garvey into the red could create some interesting and hard tones. Probably leave it staining heavier. But Thatd definitely be after seeing how the red wrote in the first place.
Again. New as hell to this. But Thanks AP for the solid reviews and solid question sections. Definitely help to open doors for the unknowns, experimenters, and kids still improving their work.
I purchased 2 of these nibs, save your money and stick with the originals tips the ultras came with. These things are so flimsy and weak. They fall out easily and writing with them is like using wet flatten cotten.
Props for trying to get close to the original, but these nibs are useless especially for $10 a pop.
I'll still continue on buying your other products but can you credit me back my money on these things? I bought 2!
Oh Yes, Oh Yes,fill this up with some pilot and molotow coversall ink,you will be in ink heaven, great mop for these inks combined,i just love the flow of ink through mohair nibs on mops like these on buffed power boxes, squeaz for them rowdy drips...
Okay, gonna save the people asking questions time and AP some time by writing this as well..
ONLY USE PILOT OR MARSH INK IN THIS MARKER
YOU CANT RUN SMASH THROUGH IT UNLESS ITS THE DYE BASED MONEYSHOT.
Break in the nib by running it along a wood working file or some rough sand paper, what I did was I roughed it up on the file then dipped it in the ink, before screwing it on the marker.
Pump a few times and then go write on stuff.
Yes you can mix marsh and Garvey
All you saying you used smash in this with good results are lying, because the pigments clog the nib.
The silver specifically is my favorite, much softer than the others and the chrome is perfect, shiny and SMOOTH goes on like butter, stays up even after the buff somehow, that is if the buff man only uses paint... Chemical normally takes it off over all 10/10!
