came back from a route rockin a kiwi mop.. if any nib should be sold in packs of 5 it should be this one for a couple of reasons: $1.25 is too much for a nib that has the shortest life span out of all the mop nibs so it should be sold at a price that encourages buying it instead of racking it (which is easy as sh*t)

pros: with the right ink, i prefer money shot or t-grade, both with a touch of garvey and if you're feeling classy n ballin go for speedflow. it's a powerful graff marker. drippy round lines over an inch wide command attention especially if your letter style is legible because it will be read by the general public. of course location is a key factor. another reason i like these is because they limit me to big, smooth surfaces in case i get a little tag happy so i just bike around scoping not only smooth surfaces but strategic spots as well.

watching my boy catch a tag with a kiwi mop is what turned me on to graff. i found it fascinating that you could take chunk of public space and make it yours with such a small marker.

smoooooth, opaque, high quality, oil based silver paint. the best "small tag" marker in my opinion. i used to rack two of these at a time and empty one into the other, that way you have a full marker and an extra nib :)

one of the most effective and functional tagging tools around. i gave one of these to my boy along with a pilot jumbo to get him started. i figured anything that doesn't require pumping the nib or squeezing the marker would be perfect for a beginner so the focus is placed more on the tag rather than getting the marker to function. the idea is to move him past the toy phase as fast as possible lol

i haven't tried the other streaker brands that ap carries so i can't compare them but i can recommend the sakura colors i found to be the smoothest and most fade resistant
-blue
-green
-red
-purple

-black looks boring and chances are you already have a black ink marker that will do a better job
-white looks like chalk on textured surfaces. but looks dope on smooth, dark surfaces.
-the fluorescent and lighter colors don't write as smooth and they fade much faster (especially the fluorescent colors)

the cocktail inks are the highest quality black inks available.. nuff said

now here's a little recipe for the most effective black marker i've ever used. for big, eye candy, bleed through tags with no streaks in a pocket size marker:

- pocket version of a jumbo pump marker (molotow makes the best jumbo pumps)
- a 20mm t-nib
- a bottle of coversall (no additives needed! expect the quality you should get from a $22 dollar glass bottle of ink)

this marker bombed so hard that i started to use other markers less and coversall instantly became my favorite. it's basically a better version of otr's cold sweat marker. i refilled my black k-71 with this and it worked great. keep the nib juiced and write lightly for the best results with both markers.

because of its price, it's not the most ideal ink for big mops like the 4 ounce kiwi or soul tip unless you ration your squeezing or you have extra the money to burn. in either case i'd go for the speedflow for better drips.

for the diy marker geeks___ i take a razor and CAREFULLY cut these nibs horizontally to make them flat. i do this so i don't have to adjust my hand at an angle when i catch a quick tag. that was the only thing i didn't like about this style of nibs. now i use my k-71 a lot more. and i'll be using it even more when i get the smaller k-72 marker and fill it with some of that delicious speedflow ink.

i asked the guys at art primo to carry these a while back when i found them at a shipping supplies website. now they carry them. you guys are awesome.

hands down the best black ink i've ever used (both speedflow and coversall). it doesn't fade, stains the best, smooth and consistent which means no streaks with a juiced wide nib. this stuff is MEAN, like they had some hardcore german chemists work on the formula. it even smells good haha.

you don't need any additives like garvey or staining powders with this stuff, it would only knock down the qualities i mentioned.

if you're into fat, drippy mop tags and you're on a budget, this is the ink for you. for $30 dollars you get a quart of the infamous t-grade juice, that's almost 4 of those 250ml bottles that sell for $15 to $20 each. the quality and quantity of this stuff is definitely what has made it popular in the tagging subculture for ages. i'd say most if the ink marsh makes is used by writers.

i can't even stress how dope the white t-grade is. it's xylene based so it's like getting a quart of the white smash ink for $35 and it can be mixed with other smash colors as well.

also, this site is selling it at a great price. i've seen t-grade sell for $50 at a "graff shop" in SF.. like the average writer has $50 to spend on ink alone.

these nibs are made of soft sponge, they wear down quickly compared to other mop nibs which is why it's ideal to buy these in bulk. ap used to sell them in a three pack that's more logical than buying them individually for 1.25 each. keep in mind how easy these are to rack. anyway, shoe polish/leather dye mops are classic, it's the fattest round nib you can use but you're limited to smooth surfaces only since it wasn't made for bombing but it's still widely used.

these are about "3.5 long and as wide as your standard jumbo pump marker. once the nib is broken in or flared it writes super smooth. i love this marker but the only thing that sucked was that i thought it wasn't refillable but if you read enough about graff you'll find out that some writers used to refill these markers with ink.

you can refill it by using a pilot ink dropper or any dropper and a long needle. take out the nib, insert the long needle and use the dropper to fill the opening to the top with ink. now keep pressing the needle up and down till the ink sinks down into the marker. repeat till the ink stops going down. this may take a while but you get a pentel shorty filled with the ink of your choice! and it's quieter because you won't have to shake it like you did when it was full of paint.. how dope is this marker now?

you can use this method with any pump action marker that's not refillable like krink's k-70 or the marsh 88.

absolutely nothing special about this marker. just buy a t-nib, grab a razor and cut one corner off horizontally. i've been cutting my nibs like that since i got my first jumbo pump marker, it gives you clean, solid lines and you can do the same with the 15mm nibs as well.

this marker is about six inches tall and a little bit fatter than the common jumbo pump markers. the nib is super durable, it's 10mm wide but once it's broken in it can write about 14 to 15mm streak free lines. and it's not valve operated, it's a felt-to-nib marker, simple and effective. i definitely recommend this marker like everyone else.

it's also easy to customize, you can use a razor to shape the nib how you want it and because there are no replacement nibs, when it wears out you can make a small nyc style mop by unscrewing the top part as if you're going to refill it, pull out the felt, take the empty carcass, fill it with ink and stuff a bent piece of board eraser felt as a nib. you're gonna have to get an empty film canister as a cap (any camera shop will give you this for free), wrap duct tape around the marker for the cap to fit and vuala, you got a hardcore bombing mop. this can be done with any empty carcass from a marker as long as you can find a cap for it. i got these instructions from the 'all city' book by paul 107, great book.

this is a 2oz mop, its 4" tall and as wide as the squeeze-e mop or the smash blitz marker. the nib writes 10mm lines (same nib on the drip mop) . its the best combination of size and ink capacity for a mop. yes, $10 is expensive for a 2oz mop but this is how you get the most out of your k-60:

buy the 5-pack of extra nibs (they're called "mini drip mop replacement nib") because they'll come in handy when you tear the nib going over a sharp little bump or whatever.

for refills. unless you want to keep paying $10 for a new marker every time you run out of ink, i think some kids actually do that and i think that's why kr doesn't make refill bottles. smash makes a perfect refill for this mop because k-60 colors and smash inks are very similar in both colors and thickness. for example, i bought a green k-60 a long time ago and i've been using smash's "teal legit" as a refill ever since.

so grab the 5-pack of replacement nibs and an 8oz of smash for refills and you'll be set.

awesome "stamp cleaner" mop with mohair! perfect nib size, perfect body size.

one problem i had with black ink in this mop was that i didn't know exactly why the nib keeps getting clogged even when i poked holes through the mohair (not going through the plastic) with a big needle to open it up, maybe because i mixed a lot of black staining powder, but i doubt it though.

if you have the same problem this is a solution thats not temporary like poking holes. trim the mohair down with a small pair of scissors, pop the nib off and take out the regulator (plastic spring-like piece) with tweezers, put the nib back in and test it out. the writing will be smooth and the drips are super easy to control. i guarantee it won't clog up/not drip again.

it works just fine as it is with my purple ink that consists of garvey, grog, blue bleed through concentrate and purple staining powder.

for use with silver paint/smash inks, rack the cotton nibs from your local michael's. in the stamp section under stamp cleaners. it'll be like using a k-60 with a wider nib.

catching a tag with this marker is as simple and quick as it gets. when you're writing you don't have to worry about the nib being juiced or testing it on the side or how much you're going to squeeze (if it's a mop), you just walk up, pop the cap and catch your tag.

try all the colors! buy them in even numbers so you can make split colored paint sticks (makes nice eye-catching tags). AP has a video on this site on how to make them, they show the most accurate way to make splits out of sakuras besides taking a razor and carefully slicing them in half.

i have to say the fluorescent yellow fades to white after a few days in the sun, i haven't tried the other fluorescent colors (pink and orange) so i don't know if they fade as well, but i can guarantee the solid colors stay solid and permanent.

these are appropriate for both blackbooks and tags. i use the fine tip for blackbooks and this (medium tip) for small tags. for fat round lines, cut the round tip of the nib with a razor and flare it out just a little bit and it will write buttery smooth with no streaks. small silver tags are very eye catching. it's a handy marker, i'd say essential.

if you want to remove the loud @ss mixing ball, grab a magnet, open up the marker and hold it upright, run the magnet from the bottom of the marker up to the opening and you got a silent silver marker. so it's obviously refillable.

buy one with some silver refill if you don't already have some because these come barely half full.

this is the same nib on the drip mop, k-60 and k-63. it's cotton, so you can't expect to hit up anything rough without some wear and tear, doesn't take a genius to figure that out. the best thing you can do on a semi-rough surface is to write very lightly, if you can hear the plastic grinding on the surface, you're pressing way too hard and you're asking for it to rip. so i have to disagree with some of the reviews on this and say these nibs are pretty good or they wouldn't be used on multiple products. buying extra nibs is necessary for any type of marker, especially if it fits on more than one, so grab the 5-pack! best bang for your buck.

however, mohair nibs in this size do exist, they come stock on grog's 'squeezer 10' mop but they don't work very well with paint. i've tried silver and it wrote all streaky with no drips.

thanks to whoever threw in an extra drip mop for me because my order was a day late to be shipped, you guys are awesome and you know how to keep a customer happy and satisfied! thank youz!!!

the solid white tags from this marker look dope! its classic for obvious reasons: small size, durable nib, its almost full with quality paint and it smells great too :P also it's easy to make a habit of tossing it in your pocket every time you get dressed.

you have to flare out the nib if you want proper fat lines. and tape a small magnet at the end of the marker if you don't like the loud clicking sound from the metal mixing ball, it gets too many glances in public.

the only cons are that it's not refillable and the cap can get stuck sometimes making you look like a jackass before you catch a tag lol, it gets looser after a while though.

overall it's an essential marker, i definitely recommend it.

the best marker in the "jumbo pump" category, they're all basically the same except molotow pays close attention to details, like how the cap pops open when when pressed from the side. and its air tight you don't have to worry about taping this so ink won't leak, i have three of these, and so far i haven't had one leak. its this attention to detail that make molotow's marker design superior to otr's and other brands.

this comes stock with a hard paint nib, so if you plan on filling it with ink i recommend you get a couple of soft ink nibs. they give smooth, solid, consistent lines. art primo has them under 'flowpen nib'.

or get the empty long body along with a t style nib and a bottle of molotow's cocktail ink and you have an upgraded, refillable version of otr's cold sweat marker!! (both have a t nib and contain bitumen) except molotow's cap won't clog and the ink won't leak.

thnx for the heads up angelina, i'll be ordering this in my next order f'sho..

**TIP** i noticed the DED mops in silver come with a cotton nib, not mohair, suggesting mohair doesn't do well with paint.. also every now and then if you notice your mohair nib clogging up/not dripping as well as it did, poke holes in the nib in a sewing manner (avoiding the plastic underneath) with a large/thick needle, that should get it back to dripping like it did when it was new..

AP hit the spot with this one! A++.. man i rant when i'm stoned

yes my friends, the white t-grade with a lil' garvey makes you a nice, beautiful, smooth and opaque purple, very visible on dark surfaces (if you don't use too much garvey of course), add some red pilot to play with the color.. very happy with the results, def. became an essential for me along with the black t-grade/garvey mix because of the good quality and quantity. big jug refills are the smart way to go!

don't underestimate this stuff. pilot packaged this all cute in a little old school glass bottle. this stuff DYES surfaces, no joke. when buffers and cleaners see this stuff in blue, green, red, purple (mixed) they usually assume that it was a sharpie lol so they almost always try to rub it out, but all that does is change the tag's color! believe me, i've seen about 20 of my tags like that, all bleached but clearly legible (all done with pilot ink and jumbo marker) =] lesson of the day.. permanent, economical tags.

the nib on these keeps going and going and going, i've refilled my black one about 10 times and its only writing better.. and you know the ink that comes with these is the sh*t so i don't gotta say sh*t.. when i got the violet (they come about half way filled), i filled the rest with white t grade to enjoy the krink ink longer and it came out to a gorgeous opaque purple (the red one with white would be a dope pink no doubt!), recommended if you got the ingredients.. k-71s are essential, yo i give kr mad props for pickin' out one of the most durable marker bodies (?construction brand?) to put his famous wonder ink in. great size, large ink capacity but small enough to keep in my pocket at all times along with a paint stick for rough surfaces..

short version: if you write, you need one.

AP, can these take smash? what about paint? like silver grog in an empty purple..

yo ap is it possible to show us what white t grade and violet garvey looks like? (1 white + .5 violet) nothing special? regular purple?

these dumb ass, f*ck face buffers in my neighborhood are using dark brown paint to cover black ink tags, they're make everything looking uglier, so because all i have is a big jug of black tgrade/violet garvey.. i'm lookin for some quality light (but opaque) ink to write over their sh*t brown paint..

every writers been through "this is war motherf*ckers!!".. its hard not to take it personal lol

these are perfect for practicing or trying out new tags. best on soft glossy paper. i recommend putting a few extra squirts of ink for smoothness but def. not taking out any of the cotton in the marker, it holds the flow of ink perfectly. tough little nib as well!

aight so i've been rollin' with this stuff for about a week, mopped a pretty public surface with coversall (few squirts of black pilot ink in the mop as well) and about 2/3 days later it got the buff, i don't know if the buffer was cheap or his paint was cheap but my tag looked a shade or two lighter.. money well spent. thnx ap, for another quality product.

-using this stuff in an otr soultip, a molotow empty, and mixed it in a otr cold sweat.. all three took it they was made for it..

tossed this stuff into an empty molotow marker and an empty soul tip mop (big fan of black ink).. results where absolutely amazing, just amazing. at first its the bottle design that say's "we're not f*ckin' around here, aight!?" then the results.. -***** black ink.- no sir they wasn't f*ckin' around. if you wanna see what this ink does write generously on a clear cd case then look at in sun light when it's dry.. if it doesn't turn you on then no black ink will.
