CHAO 04/06/2021 I have been using a Marsh 99 since the 90s and I just had to purchase my 3rd one. These things are almost Indestructible. I accidentally ran 1 over with a fork truck. That is about the only way you will kill this marker. If you want a sturdy, well made ink marker you can hold on to for a while, look no further. 5 of 5 Stars!

Nokiot9 12/17/2018 Works great with dye based inks that aren’t India. India ink will crust up eventually and ruin it. But alcohol based stuff seems to work well. I have a mix of that Garvey and speed flow in it. It kills. 5 of 5 Stars!

Joshua 10/14/2016 Best marker body of all time. If you're leaking or streaking. You're not using it right. I'm going to cut mine down an inch or two to make it shorter. Magic mixed with Molotow is a tough combo. Needs back pressure. Loosen back cap for more flow. 5 of 5 Stars!

Sale 04/07/2016 Okay, gonna save the people asking questions time and AP some time by writing this as well..
ONLY USE PILOT OR MARSH INK IN THIS MARKER
YOU CANT RUN SMASH THROUGH IT UNLESS ITS THE DYE BASED MONEYSHOT.
Break in the nib by running it along a wood working file or some rough sand paper, what I did was I roughed it up on the file then dipped it in the ink, before screwing it on the marker.
Pump a few times and then go write on stuff.
Yes you can mix marsh and Garvey
All you saying you used smash in this with good results are lying, because the pigments clog the nib. 5 of 5 Stars!

Skid 05/01/2013 Best bombing marker I own. Perfect size for signs, bus stops, etc...
The nibs are tough as can be, they wont write normally at first so I recommend letting them sit in a small bottle of whatever ink you are going to be using overnight... that softens them up nicely.
Would recommend buying a small o ring from home depot to put behind the cap, if the cap gets pushed on to hard its a real pain in the @$$ to get off 5 of 5 Stars!

Question: Do you still carry the chisel tip? Can't find it on here. Answer:(AP Reply)We do not currently have the chisel in stock, but shoot us an email info@artprimo.com, we can special order one for you if it's available.
Question: Can I use speed flow with this? Answer:(AP Reply)Yes, you can.
Question: Will alcohol based ink and pigmented inks ruin the nib? I've heard that from a friend but I've also heard of people using alcohol based and pigmented inks in this without fail Answer:(AP Reply)None that we know of. This is an industrial marker.
Question: now that real t grade isnt around anymore which ink should i use with... i heard alcohol based inks ruin the nibs on these.. thanks ap
Question: Can you draw thin and larger lines with the same marker? Hard to see from the video clip.
Thanks! Answer:(AP Reply)The bullet tip will have a consistent line, the chisel on the other hand you will be able to get a variety of line widths.
Question: I tried to run the marsh t grade through this but it wont flow out of the nib. Any tips? Answer:(AP Reply)They take a long time to break in. But once you do you have a pal for life.
Question: 3 questions:
How tightly do you screw on the nib?
How long does the nib take to break in?
Should I break in the nib simply by writing with it?
Thanks AP! Answer:(AP Reply)As with anything, make sure you screw this in all the way. If you leave gaps it may fall off or leak. Think Secure.
'Breaking In' is a matter of preference. If you like a crispy nib, then be gentle to it. If you want it frayed than write harder with it.
You can achieve a softer line by loosening the fibers of the nib in a number of ways. Heavy grit sandpaper or running it along concrete may do the trick.
Question: Why does my marker stop writing, I have to pump this marker and in the second letter stops writing,I fill it with smash ink. Answer:(AP Reply)Smash is made to go in that marker. So it's not the ink. Marsh 99 nibs take forever to break in. Once you do it will last forever.
