Jetpack has been documenting Seattle’s graffiti scene for years. Shared in this interview is a collection of photos from 2010-2011. Enjoy!
What artist movement has been particularly influential in your development JP: N/A
How/ Why did you start writing Graffiti? JP: What drew me to graffiti is seeing something that was new and interesting. As Seattle is starting to slowly build up with more and more condominiums and parking garages it's refreshing to see something that isn't a grey slab of concrete for once, and there is so much variety to it that its an easy and enjoyable hobby to follow.
There are a lot of kids that have aspirations of being artists, what advice would you have for them in pursuing this? JP: The advice I would give is to do what you love, but to add your own style to it.
