SEATTLE : For years Seattle has been celebrating art and diversity by commissioning artists to paint murals. Almost every neighborhood in the city has at least one mural, if not more. In neighborhoods such as Capital Hill it's hard to go a few blocks without seeing a beautiful mural. This illustrates Seattle's history of embracing and encouraging artistic growth and presence within the community.
Currently there is a big event happening in Seattle to promote flagship murals in the city called Stunning Seattle. The event is being organized by the Graffiti Defense Coalition, Urban Artworks and the City of Seattle. This is a very exciting event for us, our city and it's residence.
