Does Pilot inks xylene break thru the marker?

(AP Reply) The issue with Xylene in plastic isn't that it will immediately "break through", it will degrade some plastics (but not all) over time. Xylene is also hard on certain nib materials- we recommend you use marker bodies and nibs specifically designed for these kinds of inks like the Magic Ink Empty MGD or AP Aluminum Body Marker.
