i have to write on cardboard a lot at work, any pump marker I was trying out would get the ink absorbed too quickly into the cardboard and I'd have to pump it every 2-3 letters. Decided to try one of these out, and this sh*t is perfect. If you write just a little slowly, you don't get any streaks at all. The best part about this marker for me though is the way the nib is shaped. It's a fat chisel line on the normal side but you can turn it sideways and get a smaller chisel line.
It also works just fine on the streets in a bind. They say the ink will fade outside, but writing on metal surfaces like dumpsters, electrical boxes etc, this sh*t gives clean opaque lines and the nib is durable. I see why people say this marker's a classic, it really is great.
It's smash ink so you know it's top notch. Xylene dreams means a tougher job for the buffman.
I have one complaint tho, specifically about the "black" ink. When compared to Uni Black, the Smash ink is more like a dark grey color. It has great opacity and appears black. But it is not nearly as black as the OG Uni. Not a big deal at all, just something to be aware of.
A very nice pencil, indeed. Looks nice, writes nice, feels nice in the hand. It's unique look and hefty price tag will make it a target, so hold on tight as to not "lose" it.
I got the discovery pack of this and i tell you what. Go ahead and add this to your cart. The silver is wild and vibrant!!!. I mixed it in straight with a brand new px30 chrome and wow, it’s something i haven’t seen in a longgggg time. I paired the black with the PIXO .38 and its better than the px30!!!! I will have to grab more of this sorcery before its gone again!!!
