i have to write on cardboard a lot at work, any pump marker I was trying out would get the ink absorbed too quickly into the cardboard and I'd have to pump it every 2-3 letters. Decided to try one of these out, and this sh*t is perfect. If you write just a little slowly, you don't get any streaks at all. The best part about this marker for me though is the way the nib is shaped. It's a fat chisel line on the normal side but you can turn it sideways and get a smaller chisel line.

It also works just fine on the streets in a bind. They say the ink will fade outside, but writing on metal surfaces like dumpsters, electrical boxes etc, this sh*t gives clean opaque lines and the nib is durable. I see why people say this marker's a classic, it really is great.  5 of 5 Stars!

Best. Marker. Ever. Guys, this is an ESSENTIAL to have on a night out with the homies. Writes over anything, took it out in the winter, 20 degree weather, and it wrote perfect, and its refillable, however, you won´t have to worry bout that because they last a very long time. Get this now you wont regret it at all. :D  5 of 5 Stars!

This is a very simple marker, but very effective. It's been around for many years, so grab one and try a piece of graffiti history.

The black stripe version (the only one sold here) is xylene based and therefore smelly in enclosed spaces.

The tip is pretty soft, making it easy to write with. It is pretty durable, and can actually be flipped if it gets too beat up.

Black is fairly fade resistant, but the other colors are not, so they're better suited for indoors.

It has no mixing ball and no valve, so it is totally silent, If it's getting streaky, time to juice up the wadding inside. You need to refill it with a flowy ink. You can use the awesome stock pilot ink, but it's also compatible with magic ink or other xylene inks if you wanted to change it up. . Be careful though, as putting too much ink in will make it leak. If you can turn the body upside down (just the metal body and wadding, no tip) for 30 seconds with no dripping, you will be safe.

At $3.50, it's easily the best value for a jumbo marker that's ready to go right when you grab it.  5 of 5 Stars!

the pilot is a classic one of the best and most reliable markers personally i would only recommend the black for outdoor use because all the other colors fade pretty easily in my opinion but the black is the best nib is very durable and easiest marker to refill and modify back in the day we would take out the wadding after using the marker for a hot minute cut the wading into either half or a quarter take off the nib and use the wadding as the nib take duct tape wrap it around the top until you can put an old film cartridge over it as the cap and just fill that with your favorite ink so these are the easiest to modify easiest to refill least expensive and most reliable the classic black pilot  5 of 5 Stars!

These are definitely the best large permanent marker available. The body is a nice, durable aluminum. The caps go on nice and tight so the marker doesn't dry out. Black is the best color, because it fades the slowest in sunlight, but red and blue seem to stain harder. And after it begins to streak, just fill it up again with a pilot refill. Christ xD pilot is such a f*ckin good company.  5 of 5 Stars!

A CLASSIC.
Great for stickers. SUPER OPAQUE INK. (Black)
Literally, a must-have.

They kinda stink, so not really a "insides" marker;
Unless you just dont give a f*ck.
But, people that don't write are gonna complain about the smell.  5 of 5 Stars!

a definetly a must have! ppl say its just for begginers/toys but not really, this is some classic sh*t, i insist, its a f*cking must have... black is the hardest to fade, then blue, then green, then red... black will probably last months, the others will just last 1-3 weeks, seriously... i think i shouldnt say more, i mean theres alot of reviews on these markers and if i said more i would probably just be repeating others review! LOVE IT!  5 of 5 Stars!

A very cool and inexpensive marker for permanent writing. It of course has the pilot ink and if you don't know about it, it's extremely hard to remove and heavily staining. This marker is really great because it's refillable and the nib is very heavy duty. When you finally mess the nib up bad enough then all you have to do is pull it out and turn it around and you have a brand new writing tip. Great product...  5 of 5 Stars!

Sick marker it eats signs, mirrors, boxes, whatever you can throw at it, it can do it and it stains like none other... I carry my blue everywhere I go not too small it won't smash sh*t and not so big I can't stash it in my sleeve. Plus the smell is amazing And is super easy to refill just screw off the top And you can fill it up with pretty much any alcohol based ink, also you can pop the nib out from the inside and flip it if one side gets worn down which I doubt it will, one problem I didn't like though is that the body will dent and crush really easily other than that it is solid, peace popeone-_  5 of 5 Stars!

These bad boys are the shizzy shizzle! ive been rackin these since junior high. as a marker itself it is dope as f#ck. good tips that wont wear down unless you right on brick or particle board with them and amazing ink! the most permanent ink ive ever came across, this sh*t instantly stains! The best thing about these is that you can add it to other ink mixtures you have to add a good stain or add color. I like to take these and pour a color (preferably blue, stains harder, wont fade) and add it to white marsh to get an opaque blue. plus they got alot of ink for tree-fitty ;)  5 of 5 Stars!

i like these markers mainly because it succeeds where the otr hard to buff, molotow burner fails..the nib literally can eat up uneven surfaces.

i dont know how you can even ruin the nib on these and once they run out of ink its the easiest marker to refill.. pour in ink till its slightly above the felt and tilt the tip down untill ink floods the tip

this thing will last i am telling you

however buy the black or maybe the blue

the other colours will fade.  5 of 5 Stars!

Perfect all-around marker with great ink. Also features a double-ended nib so once you wreck one end, you can switch it up and get nice clean lines again. Also has a large ink chamber so you don't have to worry about running out when you're in the situation where refilling is not an option.

Seems to only work with xylene-based inks, DO NOT use any type of paint in this or you'll destroy it and waste your paint.

I highly recommend this for anyone on-the-go, and also for practicing handstyles and control without burning through your expensive sh*t.

5/5 for shizzle!  5 of 5 Stars!

Just like all Pilot markers, the Pilot Jumbo is an awesome tool for writing. This marker is another true classic, and for good reason. The ink in this marker (found in the Pilot refill bottles) is super opaque and pretty hard-to-buff. The Black is definitely the best color to get this in, and the Red/Green/Blue is a bit more transparent and easier to buff than the Black, but they do stand out a bit more on a wall filled with a ton of Black handstyles. This markers legacy pretty much speaks for itself, amazing buy and worth every cent.  5 of 5 Stars!

this marker is about six inches tall and a little bit fatter than the common jumbo pump markers. the nib is super durable, it's 10mm wide but once it's broken in it can write about 14 to 15mm streak free lines. and it's not valve operated, it's a felt-to-nib marker, simple and effective. i definitely recommend this marker like everyone else.

it's also easy to customize, you can use a razor to shape the nib how you want it and because there are no replacement nibs, when it wears out you can make a small nyc style mop by unscrewing the top part as if you're going to refill it, pull out the felt, take the empty carcass, fill it with ink and stuff a bent piece of board eraser felt as a nib. you're gonna have to get an empty film canister as a cap (any camera shop will give you this for free), wrap duct tape around the marker for the cap to fit and vuala, you got a hardcore bombing mop. this can be done with any empty carcass from a marker as long as you can find a cap for it. i got these instructions from the 'all city' book by paul 107, great book.  5 of 5 Stars!

Good, solid, reliable marker. Question for AP or anyone else is can you refill these with smash ink??? I like the ink of the jumbo but it's kinda glossy to me and the black smash ink seems much darker and I like to write on rough surfaces like concrete and such so maybe the smashink will cover the surface better. Let me know please...(apreply)No, just stick to the pilot ink  4 of 5 Stars!

pilot jumbo is a dope classic that writes dope, has dope ink, and will blow your mind. its as simple as that homie. to put it this way, if you want a great marker that will last a long time, that doesnt streak, thats hard to buff, that flows nice, and that will give you a quick clean dope write then this marker is definatly for you. if you want you can make it drip(i wouldnt recomend trying to make it drip) and its just an ill marker and its refill ink is only like 3$ so you can pick up a few refills and be set for a while...5/5  5 of 5 Stars!

We filled it with Garvey n the nib was fresh also when I got it he he showed me some tricks: if empty drop some ink on top of the nib n in the tube n then flip it upside down then take the nib out n turn it over so that way u get a super juicy nice line get this ur gonna have fun get blue n some Garvey n ftw(apreply) Good review! okay, i didnt know how good such a cheap marker would be. the nib is durable, ink is straight, metal body is great. dont use paint or you just wasted a marker. you can use any thin ink. free flowing felt, no valve keeps my nib juicy, keep the marker cap down.& dont expect it to be opaque its an ink marker and most ink markers are not. dont overfill or youll have a pocket full of ink if you hold the cap down  5 of 5 Stars!

CLASSIC! Everyone who's ever used a pilot knows that they're ill. The jumbos are pretty huge so they have great ink capacity and a nice size nib for decently fat lines. They write insanely smooth on most surfaces, especially metal. The first time you use a pilot its obvious why writers have been using them forever. If you haven't tried one pick one up, you wont be disappointed.  5 of 5 Stars!

one of the reasons I was gonna get this marker was because its cheap, & refillable. one thing i don't like about it is its not a valve system. my friend got one in the order i just made. the marker i bought was the streetduster cause i like its medium fat sized nib and i have hella blue dykem ink. ship my order fastttt!!!!!!!!!!!!! please.
AP Reply: You obviously have never used this marker. There is a reason why graffiti writers have been getting up with the Pilot jumbo for over 20 years. Actually there are many reasons. The main one is because it does NOT have a pump action valve so when you fill it with ink, the ink flows right to the nib without the "middle man". This marker comes with very good ink, is cheap and easy to refill, metal body so doesn't break, super durable felt nib, marks on most surfaces, the list goes on.  4 of 5 Stars!

the solid classic! it withstood the test of time and continues to be widely used as a favorite among writers. the reasons are obvious; it has just the right amount of felt inside for a regular flow of ink. and the nib is just bad ass. aside from being durable, the more you write, the better it writes.

the most ideal for bombing is the black one.  5 of 5 Stars!

this marker is awesome for how much its worth. practically every graff artist should own one of these. i highly recommend the blue, black and red pilot jumbo's. they stain very hard, last long, and are free of streaks. ive been using them for 2 years and love them. my personal favorite color is blue. i carry one of these almost everywhere. the green is good but doesnt stain as hard as black or blue and is sometimes streaky, thats why im rating it 4 not 5. but youd be insane not to buy one. and for 3.49? you shouldnt be allowed in f*cking public if you think its a waste of your hard earned cash. these work nicely on doors, electrical boxes, windows, your neighbour's brand new Lambo, smooth wood, bare skin, plastic sh*t, dumpsters, signs, basically anything! the ink is pretty fade resistant and can take a bit of weather. way better than the sharpie magnum, too. reversable nib, large ink capacity, metal body, leak proof seal. might be a bit to big for your pocket in some cases, it depends, but i take it in my pocket quite a bit. overall a super f*cking sweet deal! lasts long too. where i live they cost $9, so 3.49 is an insane deal. buy it up son! NOW!  4 of 5 Stars!

These markers are pretty dope.
They right super clean, no streaks on smooth surfaces like electric boxes and all that.
They fade a bit, I've had my red one for awhile and within a few months it gets pretty faded.
But while it's up it looks dope as hell homie. The green on the other hand doesn't fade all that much, I've still got tags rocking from about a year ago.  5 of 5 Stars!

I always wanted to try the Pilot out and here's my chance and it's the best bang for your buck in markers. It's CHEAP and jus durable...jus nasty--haha. It's a real great marker and I recommend it to anyone who wants a nice marker in their pockets whenever they feel like writing around them  5 of 5 Stars!

Art Primo should have a rule that you're not allowed to order unless you get a pilot jumbo. These things are more than worth the $3.50. Not only are they refillable, but the stock ink is godly anyway. So no need to empty it when you get one and refill it with something else like you have to do with a lot of markers. I haven't tried it on the streets yet but it's so smooth as far as making slaps go. I'll probably get a few every time I order from here. Thanks for carrying these AP!  5 of 5 Stars!

Think about the Sharpie magnum, only with a better smell, ink, and nib. This sh*t is great, ink is extremly hard to buff, nib hardly ever streaks, cheap. What isnt to love about this thing? If your gonna get this get the ink refill with it, it may seem like theres not enough in it to fill the marker, but theres enough to fill it about 20+ times or so. The most underestimated of markers, with Unipaint broads coming in close second. Weed through the fancy Otr and Krink markers and you find your way to this simple beauty. Fat, strong nib, smooth flow, refillable and a durable metal body, theres really nothing more you could ask for in a marker. Although it seems that all of the new kids like to head straight to the OTR section, but I hope someone out there realizes how good these are and falls in love!  5 of 5 Stars!

I remeber back when i was a young tagger i used to tag the sh*t out of my school with the black pilot niggas aint know what hit em and as soon as theyd buff one tag theyd turn the corner and see another and they leave ghost marks even after they try to buff them so its all good.  5 of 5 Stars!

wow, next to the krink mop, this is my favorite marker, EVER. it doesnt drip, which ive gotten used too haha, but u can make sum tight ass styles with it, the ink is super permanant, and it leaves a ghost, its pretty big, but i can still fit it in my sleeves, so who cares! haha, if i knew where to buy these, and i actually had some cash, id go out and buy about 10 of em, but i dont.
i would deff. reccomend these to ANY writer/tagger/angry ass parent[joking.]/bomber.  5 of 5 Stars!

probably one of the greatest makers ever made, thanks pilot!
one of the easiest makers to refill just screw of the cap and there you go. these things will mark anything any where. ink inside is pretty deasent but i always put new ink in. most of the other colors are crap i would just buy black. one thing to keep in mind however is the size, it is a pretty fat and tall marker and if ur trippin about size then well.....

just buy this MARKER!  5 of 5 Stars!

man, i just got one of these and lets just say you should never go out bombing without one of these. they will mark on ANYTHING. windows, concrete, wood, metal, everythingg. the ink is SUPER permanent and the nib is always juiced up good. it cant drip, but once you find how to make crazzzy styles with the broad/ slanted nib you wont need to have any drips. you can create a super clean style EASILY with one of these. oh and these dry instantly, which is another good thing. definetly recommend these heavy duty ink markers to any bomber out there that doesnt have one. peacee

Industry standard.

Tip!

you can dent the end of the marker and poke the nib a few times with a needle to get some real good flow thru the marker keeps it juicy.  5 of 5 Stars!
