Question: can I mix this with dope liquid paint
ArtPrimo: Try using a Diamond Series Ink (Garvey, Pete Rose, Vida Blue) instead.

Question: how uv resistant is this ink?
ArtPrimo: it's not. This is a dye and dyes do not have UV resistance.

Question: would this work in a pixo thanks AP
ArtPrimo: Yes, it will.

Question: Can I use this in the art primo drip mop mini?
ArtPrimo: You can, but don't leave it in the body for too long- this ink has Xylene, which can degrade plastic over time.

Question: How is this packaged?
ArtPrimo: Pilot Refill Ink is packaged in a glass jar, it ships with a small dropper for filling.

Question: I love this ink, and I love it so much and use it so much it gives me headaches. Is there a different ink that is just as good but less smelly? Thanks AP :D
ArtPrimo: Rule of thumb, the worse it smells, the better it's going to be. We always suggest using solvent based inks and paints with good ventilation.

Question: What doesn't this ink mix with? Would it be good to put in a pentel shorty? Or a uni broad?
ArtPrimo: This is an alcohol based ink so anything alcohol based will work. Depending on the color they do different things with the Uni Paint. This is a solvent based ink, there is no Xylene in the ink.

Question: would this work as a thinner for the 901 soultip,
i imagine it would, as they are both alcohol based.
ArtPrimo: You could, that would work.

Question: can i toss this in a unpaint broad?
ArtPrimo: Yes.

Question: Do you know of a way to brighten up the red version of this ink? I was thinking thag mixing a silver ink would probably work, but unsure of any/anything that would be compatible with it. Thanks!
ArtPrimo: Brighten? Send us an email, you might be wanting something that doesn/t exist. [email protected]

You can/t lighten up a dye based ink without adding white pigment essentially turning it into a paint... and making it pink.

Question: Can you use this to refill a magnum sharpie ??
ArtPrimo: You can, it will smell really weird though.

Question: can you use this ink in an art primo 2oz mop, and are there any better suited inks for it?
ArtPrimo: You can. These shine well with most paint mixtures.

Question: will this ink work with calligraphy pens?
ArtPrimo: It depends on the calligraphy Pen. We do carry Pilot Calligraphy pen sets linked here; http://artprimo.com/catalog/pilot-parallel-pen-calligraphy-3-
8mm-set-p-4520.html

Question: What kind of Base do you think this ink is?

Alcohol, Xylene etc etc etc.

I have some Grog Dry Powder Ink Booster but not sure if it would mix well with the Pilot.

I would rather ask before wasting good product for nothing.
ArtPrimo: Alcohol. Beware mixing anything with Black Pilot Ink.
It/s always wise to test a small amount before fully mixing.

Question: ay AP, hows the mix when mixed with speedflow? I know your @$$ tryed it! And if so what would u do, more pilot then speedflow or more speedflow and a little pilot? Like just in a marker? Not mixing the whole bottle.. Thanks mane
ArtPrimo: We/re not too sure about mixing Pilot Black with Speedflow. You really don/t need to do this as they are both great products just by themselves. If you do, watch for coagulation as the 2 solvents may interact strangely. We suggest just sticking to one.

Question: My new ultra wide/ mini wide marker is not working properly after I wrote on a metal surface that was was sticky and the the nib is gooey and dry even after flooding it with ink I think its the nib. Can I clean the nib in some rubbing alcohol? I used two inks the pilot ink, and molotow transformer ink.
ArtPrimo: You can try to clean out the nib but you might just have to replace it. You could try cutting the gooey stuff out too to save the rest of the nib.
willmiran1: I would wash the nib with water, and dish washing liquid and some paper towel to absorb moisture, and let it dry on a newspaper over night in the sun.I would wash the nib with water, and dish washing liquid and some paper towel to absorb moisture, and let it dry on a newspaper over night in the sun.

ArtPrimo: Not sure I understand (two-toned), can you go into detail what this is? Generally if you combine two liquids they will mix into each other making a new color. With dyes they generally tend to turn to the darkest color you've used.
.: wait until you find out what purple is wait until you find out what purple is
