Questions (40)

Question: Can these be refilled with smash ink v2
Answer:(AP Reply)Because this marker does not have a pump, you are better off using a dye-based ink (like Pilot or Magic Ink) rather than a pigment-based ink.

Question: Where do you get nibs for these markers.... I looked online with no luck..... what would u recommend to replace or just buy a new one?
Answer:(AP Reply)Hi there! We don't carry replacement nibs for the Jumbo at this time. You could make one using an old chalkboard-style felt eraser, or you could replace the whole marker.

Question: these good for blackbooks??
Answer:(AP Reply)Unless you have a truly enormous black book, I would recommend using a marker with a smaller nib.

Question: Is it possible to make one of these as or close to being as juicy as a mop? I don’t need it to flow super good, I just want it to have a bit of drippyness. I have a couple old pilots I can try to modify to do this.
Answer:(AP Reply)Hi, we don/t make these. You can add more ink to them if you need them to be juicier though.

Question: Can you replace the nibs on these?

Question: Ay ap, classic AWSOME black marker.. Just add a little speedflow when its new and sh*ts deadly! Would u agree AP?? Speedflow in this mixed with the pilot ink makes it better and harder to buff?
Answer:(AP Reply)We don/t see the need to mix the 2 unless you have no Pilot on hand and use Speedflow to refill? Both Blacks are amazing as is.

Question: Yo AP what's the difference between the pilot and the refill with xylene, and the ones without? I understand one ink is xylene based and the other one isn't, but does it make a difference?
Answer:(AP Reply)Generally products without Alcohol or Xylene are made so users won/t have to deal with the chemical smell.

Question: This is a dumbass question, but how should I be holding this marker to get lines like shown in demo on youtube, cuz i always get thick lines when writing in one direction, and thin in another. PLS HELP CUZ I DON'T WANT MY TAGS TO LOOK LIKE sh*t!!!!!
Answer:(AP Reply)Sometimes you just dont need the crispy chisel tip. This is an example of it. You can fray out the nib by running it along sandpaper or concrete. This will loosen the fibers and give your nib a round shape. This is excellent for consistent lines.
(The author of this question Says:) so I should grind down the nib on concrete till its flat? (AP REPLY: No, just enough to loosen the fibers so you get a ROUND nib, not square.)so I should grind down the nib on concrete till its flat? Question: What is the best way to store the markers? laying down, standing up with the tip down, with the tip up?
Answer:(AP Reply)It doesn/t matter, as long as you don/t refill them too much they shouldn/t leak. If you do, store them nib side up.

Question: How well do these work for outdoor use? Will it write well on most surfaces?
Answer:(AP Reply)Yes the Black especially. Although its dye and it can fade over time. But that has never stopped me and its still one of my favorite markers.
