Question: Can I put this in a pixo or a uni
ArtPrimo: Either/both. You may need to thin it a little to get the consistency you want.

Question: How would this run in the metal tip squeezer...
ArtPrimo: Great! We have a similar ink as stock inside of our Metal Tip Squeezers.

Question: Can I mix this with vida blu or anything else alcohol based?
ArtPrimo: We don't recommend mixing xylene (oil based) with alcohol.

Question: Would Marsh Ink thin the universal out enough for the markers? Or stick to pilot or magic? Also, when thinning the silver, will adding black ink change the color or how reflective it is?
ArtPrimo: Marsh is also pigment based. To thin, use Pilot, Magic, or straight Xylene. Depending on your mix, adding black to silver can create a dirty chrome effect. As always its best to experiement and find what you like best.

Question: The universal silver + Pete rose ..yay or nay?
ArtPrimo: Nay

Question: Hi again - can i use smash black to refill an Outi 5k? or if it needs thinning what would you add... garvey/rose? or something else. thx!
ArtPrimo: You could. Pilot is also great in the Outi, as is Magic Ink.

Question: I just filled up my empty chrome px30 with this beautiful chrome ink and put a fresh nib in. The ink dosent really flow through the nib and goes around it. What should I do to make it flow through the nib.
ArtPrimo: Make sure you shake this up REALLY well before adding to your marker- Smash is very pigmented so if not shaken enough the flow wont be as smooth. Since you are past that point, add some flow enhancer or thinner to your mix to get it flowing. Email us if you need more help [email protected]

Question: do you think it would look terrible to mix the silver with some green xylene? (i did not study color theory lol) thanks
ArtPrimo: If you like metallic green, it will look great.

Question: Can i refill my Dr Guts metal tip mop with this?
ArtPrimo: Yes, you can. Use it quickly though.

Question: Do these bottles come with a mixing ball or rod? Since it is an ink formula does a it need one or does it just need to be shaken well before use. Thanks
ArtPrimo: Mixing ball is not included. Would recommend adding one, especially if you're not planning to thin your Chrome. Metallic pigments are heavy.

Question: Does smash ink mix with purple dyes?
Like how marsh will mix with garvey.
ArtPrimo: Yes, it does. Your results may vary based on the dye formulation you mix with Smash.

Question: How does the black compare to marsh T grade
ArtPrimo: They are both xylene and will work in similar markers. Smash will be glossier and a little more concentrated.

Question: What’s the difference between this and the OG formula from the early 2010s? Any plans to expand the color options for the V2? That old orange ink was something special…
ArtPrimo: OG Smash Ink and Smash Ink 2.0 are both xylene-based pigment inks. This one flows better in a marker but they are otherwise very similar. Regarding other colors, stay tuned...

Question: Can I use silver refill for the silver px-30
ArtPrimo: Yes, you can

Question: Do you have a recommended mop body to use with this stuff? One that would be usable more than once and won’t eat the plastic?
ArtPrimo: If you plan to make a mop and not use it all at once, you're better off using an alcohol or solvent-based paint like SF Refill or Molotow Permanent Paint. Thicker plastic bodies like the Squeezey E or Toxic Shocker will last longer before squeezing in due to Xylene degradation, but no plastic is impervious to damage.

Question: Can this be used with montana bold (aluminum body marker)....was gonna dump bold ink out and refill with smash ink of course with fresh nib? This is the 3mm chisel version.
ArtPrimo: I'm not 100% sure but I believe the Montana Bold is an alcohol ink, smash ink is Xylene based and the synthetic fiber nib might not hold up. If you are using one time it should be fine.

Question: What’s the best way for me to thin this stuff out for markers? This stuffs pretty thick and I want a little more flow
ArtPrimo: To give it the best flow make sure you shake this really well. It will flow through most markers without thinning. Don't forget to seal it up when you are not using it. The xylene will evaporate if not properly stored and your paint will dry out. If you would like to thin the Smash ink further you can use xylene or a xylene based dye type ink.

Question: Will this ink work with a POSCA?
ArtPrimo: Try the One4All Refills.

Question: Would this work in a grog metal head?
ArtPrimo: We don't carry Grog so we can't test it, but they *should* be compatible.

Question: Is the smash black or SF black the same as comes in black pokemop? I love how it dries quick to a thick raised 3d line iv got a formula for white your marsh with suremark 50 50 but my black attempts always dries too slow and isnt hard enough so id love to be able to get that black in bigger than pokemop sized portions lol :D
ArtPrimo: The PokeMop formula is most similar to Smash Ink- the pigments in Smash Ink are more fine, however. Both are Xylene-based.

Question: Would this make for a good refill for chrome px30s? Or will it not flow
ArtPrimo: Yep, these are designed to be compatible with Unis!

Question: yo im a little confused..if this has xylene in it, how come it comes in a plastic bottle? maybe im trippin but i was under the impression that xylene ate through plastic.
ArtPrimo: Some types of plastic are fine with Xylene. The bottles we use for Smash Ink are made of a kind of plastic not degraded by Xylene- it's harder. Most mop bodies, for example, are softer plastics and more susceptible to warping by Xylene.

Question: Any chance more colors will be coming? I have fond memories of the Norte red from all those years ago.
ArtPrimo: We loved the colors too! Right now, no plans to expand the line but maybe in the future. :)

Question: Is smash ink a chromeweek exclusive? Or will it stay for the foreseeable future
