Questions (15)

Question: can i use this to refill my 006 OTR mop?
ArtPrimo: Yes you can!

Question: Will this work with the Otr calligraffiti empty marker and if so do I need to use mixing balls
ArtPrimo: You can try, but the pigments in these are optimized for mops rather than markers. Try the Molotow Permanent Paint refills for a ready-to-use marker formula.

Question: Can I mix the white Sf with Marsh white ink to get that flow right to use in the Pixo38?
ArtPrimo: The pigment size in the SF refill is optimized for use in a mop. Best results in a Pixo would come from a refill with finer pigments.

Question: When would the blue get restocked?
ArtPrimo: Innerstate Blue is currently in stock

Question: Could you use the refill bottle for floor slimer tags??
ArtPrimo: You sure can.

Question: Can I put this in a px30?
ArtPrimo: SF Refills are optimized for mops, you may need to thin it a bit to get the flow you want for a PX30 nib.

Question: Why is it cracking? I shaked it well and all the other paints arent doing thay
ArtPrimo: Hi there- This is a solvent based paint. Solvent based paint has superior permanence and uv resistance but may react to being used on top of other kinds of paint.

Question: Would this paint work in a correction pen
ArtPrimo: Yep!

Question: Is this an ink or a paint??
ArtPrimo: It's a pigment-based refill ink- we call it a paint to help differentiate it from products like Steve Garvey, which is a dye-based ink.

Question: Will this act the same way as soultip/otr the way it thickens homade ink. More or less what the diffrence between this and soultip paint.
ArtPrimo: Totally different formulas. Soultip is alcohol-based, this is a solvent base.

Question: can you mix this with magic ink to make it thin enough to flow through a pixo?
ArtPrimo: We haven't tried that combination, but the pigments in this formula are optimized for mops- no amount of flow enhancer changes pigment size, so the larger pigments may still clog your nib.

Question: Does it work well in a pixo?
ArtPrimo: It works best in a mop. You could use this with a Pixo, but the pigment size is optimized for more porus nibs- you may end up with clogging.

Question: since you no longer carry dr guts, will there be a silver SF Refill?
ArtPrimo: Not quite, but we do have something in the works. Stay tuned. :)

Question: Why won't you guys give up what 'solvent' is in the paint. I think it's alcohol but what is it?
ArtPrimo: Sorry for any confusion, "solvent-based" is an industry term much like "oil-based" or "alcohol-based". It is not the same as alcohol-based. If you are interested in the full Materials Safety Data Sheet, email [email protected] and we'll send you a copy.
antman: it's in a plastic bottle so it's safe to assume if there is xylene, there isn't alot. probably acetone, alcohol and maybe petroleum solvent. but like ap said, ask for the MSDS sheet.it's in a plastic bottle so it's safe to assume if there is xylene, there isn't alot. probably acetone, alcohol and maybe petroleum solvent. but like ap said, ask for the MSDS sheet.
Kachi_0N3: Mineral spirits would probably be the diluent for it, I assume. Good as is though for mops. Imo it stays up better than the otr paints. Mineral spirits would probably be the diluent for it, I assume. Good as is though for mops. Imo it stays up better than the otr paints.

Question: Is this oil based?
ArtPrimo: No, SF Refills are solvent-based.
Kachi_0N3: Probably mineral spirits. Probably mineral spirits.
