Question: Why did the price go up so much
Answer:(AP Reply)The cost of pigments have gone up, the cost of manufacturing (especially in the USA) has gone up, you name it... we do our best to keep prices low, but after a decade it was time for a small increase on these bad boys.

Answer:(AP Reply)Hi there- the AP Solids offer a larger volume of paint than the Sakura Solids, yes.

Question: Hi! Could you describe the differences between the marker and the hobo marker?
Answer:(AP Reply)Hi there- the hobo is more like an oil pastel or grease stick. It does not have a cap but is instead protected by skin. Once you've removed the skin, you'll need to either use the whole marker or keep it in a bag/wrap.

The AP Solid is more firm but still more buttery than a Sakura. The Solid is equipped with a twisting mechanism and has a lid. It's encased in.a plastic body for easy transport.

Question: This isnt too much of a question as much as it is advice. After youre done splitting your marker. With the caps still on, put the split markers in a sink with the drain blocked. And run hot water over the markers for about 8-10 minutes. After that short period of time, put them in the freezer for an hour. The heat from the hot water will melt and adhere the sticks inside the markers, and the cold will shrink freeze it/ let the cap off easier. Ive never seen a split streaker turn out so solid. It was like it never split at all.

It's true they are both solid markers, but the BL series was specifically made for industrial applications where the writing will need to bleed through. While the bleed is there, the marker just doesn't write smooth like the AP Solid.

The solid is more like a Sakura or Mean Streak. A smooth writing streaker for slick bold writes.

Question: Can these come off by rubbing acohol on the tag like other solid marker brands ?
Answer:(AP Reply)possibly but you would have to work hard to do that. Most buffers use far better cleaners that can get off ANYTHING.

Answer:(AP Reply)Like what sakuras? The flourescents? Only the fourecents fade with any consequence. Even then they fade to white which is out most top selling color of streaker. On that note AP doesnt make a flourecent streak. So there you go.
