Question: Was having problems getting this to write on metal last night. Temp was about 34 or so and was a lil wet outside. Worked great on anything stone or concrete, but couldn't get it to write on anything metal, went on real faint. Any suggestions ? Was the blue color.
Answer:(AP Reply)hard to say. Lots of factors to consider. Was the skin fully removed, how hard were you pushing, how greasy the surface was, how do you define faint, etc, etc... I will say this. If you are having any trouble at all with this, then its unlikely that anything else would have worked at all on that surface. Hobos will write on most surfaces in most any circumstance.
(Hobo1 Says:) I think it was two problems. I wasn't pressing hard enough, the ladies all say i have a soft tender touch anyway. And i think the other problem was the surface has like this axle grease type stuff on it. But they are working fine now and i am loving the silver, gonna order a few more i think.I think it was two problems. Question: What's the difference between the hobo and hobo streak?
Answer:(AP Reply)One exists and the other doesn't!
But I think I know where this is going.
Are you asking the difference between an Art Primo Solid streak and a Hobo?

Major difference is the Streak comes in a hard casing and stays soft and ready to write. You do need to twist the little valve like chapstick to get more out of your casing.

A Hobo while writes soft will dry with air and create a thick waxy lining to protect its' insides. You will need to break the lining whenever it dries to make a marking. These come in a cardboard wrapper. You can also break this marker into smaller pieces to carry around and toss when it becomes too small of a nub.

Both of these markers are excellent for rough surfaces, are designed to dry hard so it's difficult to remove and can be taken on an airplane.

Question: what color do you prefer besides silver Ap?
