Have only tried silver but it's a good opaque valve marker w/ beautiful oil-based silver! (I might be biased because the k71/Uni/SmashKO nib-style is one of my fav's for smaller valve markers).
They do come around 1/3 to 1/2 full, but i quickly found my remedy for this at Micheals & HobbyLobby- just grab 3 or more of their silver xylene-based valve markers that they sell as singles (like silver Prismas or Treehouses) & dump them into the Uni. Will increase odor, but doing this on top of adding a tiny amount of appropriate thinner will make them run smoother & add drip potential, while still keeping the silver looking opaque & just as fresh imo. Never had any inconsistent color/opacity with this mix from my experience. (I have yet to try running gk through one of these, so cannot comment on that.)
The nib can kinda gum up after it's been juiced then not used for a while, but this is remedied by soaking the nib in xylene or paint thinner for a while... But I always recommend just throwing on a fresh nib!
*Anytime you EVER buy a Uni Broad, SmashKO, or K71/72/73, you should ALWAYS buy extra nibs! The bodies will outlast the nibs atleast 90% of the time & they are all easily refilled.
