048 Mauve Questions And Answers
Question: I want to spray paint my front door and shutters of my house with 109 Mauve. I'd like to know if this will stick to the primer of my new steel replacement door, or if I need an adhesion promoter. Does the can come with a spray nozzle or do I need to buy one for my application? I have plastic shutters, not sure if they are the polypropylene or polystyrene, do I need a special primer for those?

thanks!
regards,
Andrew
Answer: (AP Reply) Hi Andrew. Great choice in color shades! Vintage style, we like that. Molotow is a lacquer and should have no problem sticking to the primer. The plastic should be fine as long as you use a plastic primer underneath. Try looking at bumper primer at an automotive shop. I sued that on some motorcycle fairings I painted for a client. I believe the bumper primer I used was duplicolor. They come with a cap but you will want to buy a ten pack of Caligraphy Red Caps. They spray a 6" vertical fan. Perfect for coating large areas with even coverage. Just be sure to overlap your lines on each stroke and you will get perfect coverage.
