Answer:(AP Reply)This does not need a mixer as it is a dye based ink.

Question: Can you mix the ink in this marker with pilot ink to make it more permanent?
Answer:(AP Reply)Both these inks will be an alcohol based dye. Pilot is a great ink to use as a refill.
