Someone has finally read our minds and created a ready made stencil cap! With this cap, you will no longer spend 15 minutes or more having to making your own from scratch- just pick up a few of these and you are set! These ready made stencil caps will give far more consistent and precise results than their home made cousins, too.
The stencil cap is used to create ultra thin lines by installing it on your spray can in front of the nozzle, effectively stopping the flow of most of the paint. The paint that makes it through the stencil cap creates lines which are far thinner than any spray cap available. Expert tip: things can get messy after a few uses, so keep a rag close by for easy clean up.
If you are using the Stencil Cap with Montana Gold, be sure to take the color indicator off of the can before use. This ensures that the cap is aligned properly with the hole of the Stencil Cap.

Anonymous 07/15/2015 The stencil Cap works like advertised and is OK.
PROS:
-I can get thin lines for sure.
-Fits snug on the end.
- Simple design
CONS:
- Difficult to take off.
- You have to remove the Color Donut for it to work properly.
- Extremely messy.
- adequate price should be $1.50
- Works with only* Montana type cans (AP REPLY: *Most Euro-style cans such as Molotow, Clash, Beat) 2 of 5 Stars!

smiley face 09/23/2009 Stencil cap is great! but need better description, cause it don't work with my daily paint can " Montana golds"
I suggest u artprimo TEST your supply and learn about them and put descriptions and what it will work with or not, etc..
For Montana golds, dont buy this.. it wil work but not very accurate.. bummer.. (ap reply) First of all Montana Gold is the Devil. Dont support that corporate death machine. Stick to brands made by writers for writers. We dont know our products? Really? LOL! Look at the URL:http://www.stencilcap.com/ what kind of can is the stencil cap on in picture #1?? Take the color ring off and try again... 3 of 5 Stars!

Question: Does it matter if it's a male or female can ?
Thank you Answer:(AP Reply)As long as the hole on the stencil cap matches the nozzles you should be just fine.
Question: The spot where it snaps around that lip, is that some standard size... would it fit those painters touch cans? Answer:(AP Reply)yes yes
Question: Not to sure why this is needed?is it to keep the paint from going past the cutout so you dont get the square corners?im heavy in stenceiling outdoors and need to be quick, half my stuff has that Answer:(AP Reply)The name is a misnomer. Its actually not for stenciling. I suppose the term "stencil cap" comes from the fact that the cap is blocking part of the spray like a stencil does. But it is incorrect since you are not stenciling with it, but diverting the spray. The name is a long used slang term, and these have been around since the 90's. Its for creating ultra fine lines when doing graffiti pieces and characters. They are best suited for low pressure caps for obvious reasons. I prefer to call them HEX caps. He was the one that invented them originally. And I find it offensive that his name isn't even mentioned with these caps anymore. But what do I know, I'm just some old cruster.
Question: can you use these w/ high pressure caps or the black tar paint? Answer:(AP Reply)I would not recommend doing that. Low pressure and grey dots is the way to go.
Question: Hey should you get this if you doing high deatil peicing and are experienced coz im not really at that stage like i peice but not so highdeatail, would i still need this Answer:(AP Reply)well its a helpful tool. just dont depend on it.
Question: maybe you could make your own stencil cap tht has like draining holes so the paint doesnt build up Answer:(AP Reply)that would be nice
Question: does the paint build up in the cap Answer:(AP Reply)yup
