yo this stuff is it. it uses xylene as a binder so as long as what you're mixing it with has xylene in it it'll will mix perfectly regardless of wether its oil based or alcohol or oil based. its the jack of all trades of ink mixing and i've made some gnarly sh*t with it so far. mixes amazing with oil based black rusto, thins it just enough with a 1/1 ratio for perfect drips. have also mixed it with pilot for maximum staining capabilities and works great.
if you want to use it with something that does not have xylene in it, you can, you just have to add something of the same base that also has xylene so that the marsh has something to bind to.
so for example if you wanted to mix marsh with OTR soultip paint (alcohol based) then you would need to add some pilot ink (also alcohol based, but has xylene) to the OTR paint first BEFORE you add the marsh, if that makes sense.
