These are by far the toughest nibs and markers ever made. Just don't let them dry out.I was going through some boxes in my parents basement and found an old marsh 99 from when I was like 15 (almost 31 now).I tried to bring the nib back to life by soaking it in thinner and repeatedly squeezing the sh*t out of it with pliers to soften it up and get it to flow again.I think It'll be easier to just break down and spend the $ 3.25 on a new one and i don't even have to cut it down to get the chisel effect.Back in the day,I could never find a replacement nib for it,that's probably how it ended up sitting in a box for 16 years.
