Also in regards to the Belton Chrome Paint, Is it necessary to apply a clear top coat when it is used for an outside application like a trim piece on a car? And what type of clear should be used?

(AP Reply) In my experiences using clear over chrome will actually make it less reflective. So I would avoid it. If it was an regular Molotow Premium color then I would encourage it.

In regards to the Belton Special Chrome Paint, is it similar to most other chrome paints I see in the market that it must be applied over a good gloss black base coat to achieve the best results?

(AP Reply) To get the best results yes. Although the jury is still out as to it being a gloss black or flat. I do gloss out of habit myself. I think this has the best sheen for chrome. but I suggest shaking it a lot beforehand and continue to do so as you paint. The silver particles are quite big and will sink to the bottom.
