living in newyork theres tons of this bullsh*t all over the f*cking walls..every where and im sick of it! and you guys (idiots) selling the tools and supplies for it is just helping it get worse. im sick of driving home or taking the subway and seeing nothing but it all over the place. you cant hide from it! selling all this bullsh*t so called art supplies on the internet is just making my city look even more like sh*t. thanx alot vandals....ps..ever consider to follow the law here and there. this sh*t is illegal!(apreply) I have no idea what your talking about. I live in Seattle and we love all types of art here. If you want control I heard there is a great country that keeps absolute control over everyone. Its called China! You might loose some of your civil liberties though... But hey! there is almost no graffiti.

Subject: INK
You know how every one loves "Garsh" ? -(mixing Garvey and white Marsh ink)? Well, another amazing combo is white Smash Ink and DED Indoorsman. Same awesome purple effect but a little bluer. Great for refilling metal body markers, (decos, Uni's, Etc.), and also awesome in mops, (but beware of the xylene time frame w/plastic.) I find that by using that white smash as a base ink, I can mix in all kinds of dye based ink and other sh*t to make awesome colors that are pretty permanent. *At the end of the day though, there's still nuthin better than thinned car/boat paint in an eazy squeazy. That sh*t never goes away.

i agree with mostly everything Kasey says, except the permission part. legal or illegal its still considered art. its like if you date someone and do it behind your paretns back or something, YOU know its wrong but it feels right. so if all the 'wrong doing' ends up a very good/healthy relationship, i mean i don't understand how thats bad.
i know its illegal, but if you take what ever the 'experts' says as correct everytime, then your ignorant...

Anything produced with a spray can or a marker is NOT art." dude/dudett chill out my mom was the strictest b*tch this world has seen she didnt care that i did graf, she even encouraged it she bought like 5 huge pieces of plywood that i set up in my back yard to graff on. eveyone knows it didnt stay on the plywood in my backyard too long but thats just me and my personality. this lady/man needs to buy his daughter something to graff on and try to keep his daughters ambitions legal, if he cant realize that her addiction outways his/her affect on her life than maybe he shouldnt care this much to write to AP and complain about his/her bad parenting skills.

Subject: Is Graffiti Art?
Ignorance is bliss. Graffiti in it's true definition of the word is scrawlings on a flat surface or wall (derived from Greek graphein ("to write")). From early etchings in caves, to Greeks, Romans, and Egyptian hieroglyphics, to Hawaiian Petroglyphs. They're all forms of early graffiti. Spray paint created a new genre of art called Graffiti art when it was first introduced via the way of Hip Hop in New York and has since grew to a world wide phenomena. Many uninformed individuals get mixed up in the what is graffiti in the sense of art and what is graffiti in the sense of vandalism. Any form of "scrawling on the wall" without permission is vandalism but any form of graffiti with permission or done in a free zone environment such as the Venice Beach walls is art. If a "CONCERNED PARENT" is losing respect from their kid(s) or losing control of their kid(s), it's not because of graffiti. That problem is due to failure of PARENTING. If your child has a passion for the arts (graffiti art or otherwise), you should be encouraging and not discouraging. Many kids have no PASSION at all for anything. As a parent if you don't want them to conduct illegal acts of graffiti such as vandalism then teach them to do it for a more constructive purpose.
Many of us who are old school graffiti artists ran into the law as we had to learn the hard way what was good or bad. But we've got out of the whole "I need street cred" mentality as we grew up and found out we need to settle down and have families and support ourselves via income. Encourage the art but discourage the vandalism aspect of it all. You can always buy your child canvases, wood, or other materials to paint on. But without a surface to paint on, blank open walls are so inviting to a young artist without proper guidance. Don't blame others for your short-comings. Learn to parent properly and work with your kids with their creative craft. If Graffiti supplies were illegal they wouldn't allow the sale of it anywhere.
There are galleries world-wide that showcase the art of graffiti artists. Many graffiti artists are well known for their work but are not known to have done illegal graffiti in the past. They're just known for their current art, clothing line, and product line of today. Old school graff artists have paved the way for future artists as no one really pursued the money making aspect of graffiti art in the early eighties. It was a matter of street respect and how big and how wide you could get your art spread around town in the most visible spots possible.

Is it possible to for you guys to stock the large nibs that go in Unis, Large sharpie Paints, Smash KO's etc.? It would be great to have a fresh nib when you go to refill those markers. I love the smash ink for refilling metal body markers, (even decos). Maintain realism AP.(apreply) iI know homie. I want them too. they just have been hard to find at a price that will be feasible.

Subject: Um.
Graff is a crime. Which is why it's called graffiti, not art to be displayed in a gallery. I love graffiti. The scene is interesting and I know it gives people the rush of a lifetime and allows creativity and self-expression- Im not opposed to graffiti in the least bit. I love it. But to say it's not a crime is ridiculous. If it were legal I'm sure it'd lose meaning for most real artists.
