Sorr from California    Thursday February 02, 2012 Asked this Question:
Subject: Thinner
Question: Hey AP, I picked up a bottle of paint a while back from a local graff shop. The paint was made by some local, so they didnt know anything about it. It was too thick so i thinned it down with a bit of acetone, but it got even thicker. So is their any other type of thinner you think would work to thin it down with? Im pretty sure paint thinner is good but im not a hundred percent sure. Thanks AP.
AP Reply: Guess you wont buy that again eh???Sorry. cant help you with that man. I have no way of knowing what it is and find it hard to believe a mop paint would get thicker as you added solvent. I have traveled all over the country and visited many shops and in my experience most of these small mop paint companies are just thinning down Rusto or Oneshot or some other amalgamation of oil paint. And almost always they are poorly made and streaky, which is sad since I used to make Oneshot mops all the time, but my were fucking BUTTER DAWG.
