Wall Progress Shots x Treason X Art Primo x Urban Artworks
Seattle,WA- Treason Gallery in collaboration with Urban Artworks and Richmark Label are excited to announce it’s Seattle Art Fair week mural project. Beginning on Monday, August 1st with it’s first installation of three murals taking place from August 1st through August 7th.

Richmark Label hosted a collaborative mural last year on the South side of the building executed by artists Overunder, Read More Books and Yale Wolf. This year the second edition will cover the Southwestern side of the building with artists Bisco Smith, Denial and Josh Doll.

Canadian artist Denial will kick off the mural project beginning on Monday August 1st. Denial has participated in a number of mural festivals around the world as well as Detroit’s “Murals in the Market” which transformed Detroit’s Eastern Market district with over fifty murals last September. Known for his vibrant pop influenced satirical visual sub- versions Denial’s imagery will surely excite any on-lookers.

Los Angeles based artist Bisco Smith will begin painting the second story wall beginning August 4th. Bisco Smith has painted walls in Venice Beach, California, Johannesburg, South Africa and Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood. Bisco’s work blends graffiti inspired hand styles with a clash of deconstruction and abstraction creating poetic visuals exclu- sively in black and white.

Josh Doll will finish off the mural project towards the later end of the week. Doll known for his impeccable design works and clever murals using play on words and symmetrical illustrations, has participated most recently in Portland’s “Forest For The Trees” mural festival.

Seattle’s own Art Primo will be sponsoring the mural project in the form of providing artists with paint and other sup- plies. Please join us in the collaborative effort of the final transformation of the Richmark Label building and celebrating the 2nd annual Seattle Art Fair. The Richmark Label building is located at 1110 E Pine St. Feel free to visit the artists during the process.
