Just got one of these in white a couple of days ago. I can't say anything bad about it. It writes very well, the price is decent, and you get more product than you do with other streakers. I should have bought some other colors!
I bought two of these - one white, and one black. I saw the AP video with these in it and wanted to give 'em a whirl. At $1.99 each it's not much of a gamble. I expected these to be kinda like streakers, but they aren't. As far as I can tell they are kinda like big, chalky crayons. I have no idea how well they would hold up in outdoor environments. Also, the white one wipes off VERY easily from what I've noticed (just simply smudging them off with a fingertip takes seconds) so I don't know how I feel about these.
Pro: cheap, easily concealable, cool Japanese writing, basically odorless, doesn't seem to 'scab up' like the hobo marker
Con: the white one wipes off very easy, has limited graffiti applications in my opinion
For the price how can you complain? It exactly as advertised. My only complaint is I feel that the body isn't squeezy enough. If it were slightly softer / easier to squeeze, this thing would be perfect. I guess I just gotta break mine in a bit. 5 stars!
Just copped one of these in silver. I saw the video GR did and was sold instantly. I am used to using stuff like OTR and Molotow paint markers and one thing that always bugged me is having to stop and juice up the nib to keep writing without streaks. This marker just goes and goes. I have no idea how much paint comes in it, but in the last few days I've been using it A LOT and it shows no sign of slowly down. I haven't had to juice it since the first time - seriously! I love the metal body but since this is a shaker, just keep in mind that this thing isn't very quiet. Even walking around with it in your pocket is kinda noisy. It literally sounds like you have a can of spraypaint on you or something. For stealth missions this might not be the best choice. Another minor complaint is with the color itself. While it is very opaque and smooth, it isn't the nicest-looking shade of silver I've ever seen, especially compared to Molotow stuff. It's not super reflective/shiny. From far away it basically looks grey. I can overlook the tone of the silver paint (which isn't bad by any means - just not the best I've seen) by just thinking about how RELIABLE this thing is. At $7.99 I'd say it's maybe a dollar too expensive, but that's just my personal opinion. As long as you don't mind the loudness of the marker, this thing is awesome. 4 stars.
I just got this marker from artprimo a couple of days ago. I love the metal barrel and the ink is nice and opaque. I kinda wish the nib was a little wider but that's a small complaint. Overall I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars, with the reason behind that being the price. It's $7.99 when you can get Pilot Jumbos for less than half of that price, and they're both refillable. It's a great marker, but perhaps a bit too expensive for what it is. The all-Japanese writing on it is pretty cool though.
