Bobby, you must have a bad batch or something is wrong with the cans. These are great caps. Thicker pigmented paint doesn't work as well. Stuff like chrome won't work with these well. You can get super skinny lines with these and they clog a lot less than other skinny caps do. Not for use with rusto.
I was wondering why they didn't carry Astro Fats, but these are basically the same effects. I did notice that there seems to be imperfections on some caps dot pattern, but that could be the paint was thicker or thinner not sure. The guy who said use these on Flame Blue was right on. These don't flare on rusto with the adapter as well as wider stem caps(ny fat, elmers fat)Its more of a high output just for fill ins type of thing (IMO) if you wanted to use them for that.
Just my 2 cents for the people that want to use any cap with rusto properly. Transfer the rusto to a non sh*tty valve empty can with 1 of these and 2 needle caps. You can get huge Astro flares with rusto that way. Have fun. Otherwise you got NY fat/thin Boston fat/thin, lego. Everything else is hit or miss IMO, mostly miss.
These are drill-able like the NY fat to pop onto Rustoleum for your outlines/tags. Normal NY Thin stem is 1 piece, this has the wider portion at the top like NY fat.
The stock cap is nice and fat, flares are similar to NY fat but larger. I got 5 colors(beast pink, irish green, pure orange, kicking yellow, horizon blue) and white, which is what I look for in an assortment pack. They all had good coverage.
These caps are real buttery for flares on the Flame paints, high pressure and low. It almost makes the high pressure cans feel like low pressure. If you notice the cap sprays a sec after you lift your finger off the cap, you just have it on too tight.(on Flame cans) The low profile and wide top make this super comfortable in your hand.
